Najib now only you know ah........

It is even very difficult to achieve a meagre 4% of economic growth if our beloved BN Government still put priority in politics above anything. Our country have been laggard in terms of economy growth, stock market has underperformed compares with Singapore, Thailand,Indonesia and Philippines, not to mention other matters such as deterioration in education standards and high crime rates.......

Have our leaders waked up? What do you think?

Vision 2020 ....better change to 2200 lah......

PM: Annual growth must be adjusted to 8% to achieve Vision 2020

By IZATUN SHARI

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s annual economic growth target must be adjusted from 7% to 8% to achieve Vision 2020.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said for Malaysia to qualify for the World Bank’s current threshold economy for high-income economies and meet its goals, it must grow at an annual growth rate of 8% over the next 10 years.

“Anything less will delay our goal or attainment of our goal. For example, annual growth of 6% means reaching high-income status would be delayed by 10 years to 2030 rather than 2020,” he said in his keynote address at the opening of the National Economic Advisory Council inaugural meeting here on Friday.

He said a reinstatement of the country’s 2008 achievements in Gross National Income (GNI) terms showed that Malaysia would rank 85th at nearly US$7,000 (RM24,500).

He said the World Bank’s current threshold for high-income economies was nearly US$12,000 and going by the projected growth rate, it would reach over US$17,000 (RM59,500) by 2020.

To better reflect increasingly liberalised world trade, he said the World Bank now used GNI rather than GDP to compare countries for analytical purposes to better reflect increasingly liberalised world trade.

Najib said the advantage of GNI was it reflected the growth of the capital truly owned by Malaysians without the perception bias generated by foreign investments in the country.

DR.M is right that you never deserve to be a minister.....

Cops confirm MACC petrol bomb attack not linked to Teoh’s death

By Neville Spykerman

SHAH ALAM, Aug 26- The Molotov cocktail attack which damaged a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Nissan X-Trail last Thursday is not connected to death of political aide Teoh Beng Hock, the police said today.

Selangor police chief Datuk Khalid Abu Bakar said investigations so far indicate both cases were unrelated.

The political secretary to DAP’s Ean Yong Hian Wah was found dead at Plaza Masalam on July 16, after earlier being questioned by the Selangor MACC which is based on the 14th floor of the building.

Investigations into the petrol bomb attack which took place outside the MACC branch in Klang is almost complete.

Earlier it was speculated that the petrol bomb attack was related to Teoh’s death and alleged underword links in the Selangor government.

Khalid said police had uncovered new evidence but declined to elaborate if any suspects had been identified.

He said the motive for the attack could be due to dissatisfaction against the graft busters for a separate case.

Last week, de facto law minister Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz claimed the attack was the work of people with underground links.

The minister in the prime minister’s department said the attack also substantiated allegations by PKR’s Wangsa Maju MP Wee Choo Keong that the office of an unnamed Selangor executive councillor was being used by individuals with underworld connections for their activities.

Nazri’s justification in making the allegation was that the MACC was investigating members of the state government and the petrol bomb attack occurred at its Klang branch, which is in Selangor.

Pakatan Rakyat 7 BN 1

Pakatan Rakyat 7 BN 1 ........................

Congratulations Mohd Salleh Man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Selamat Berbuka Puasa to my Muslim friends!!!!!!!

Najib and Muhyiddin, are you still sleeping?

Two news that caught my attention this morning which has confirmed the fact that Malaysia economy is faltering further as Najib Razak and Muhyiddin Yassin are not doing enough to bring Malaysia economy out of recession.

Malaysia economy is now lagging behind Asean countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, while our stock market has seen the net outflow in July 2009 when most countries in Asia have enjoyed significant funds inflow. Please do not forget that stock markets always run ahead of the real economy and provide good indicator of a country's economic health.

We still have not seen any concerted efforts/strategies carried out by the top two Malaysia leaders in order to tackle the economy woes. Najib still has time for overseas vacation while Muhyiddin spending most of his time in Permatang Pasir for the sake of UMNO's political gain.

So far, the RM67 billion stimulus package is a failure as it has not benefited the rakyat. The recent polls conducted by a NGO has showed that 70% of the respondent has not feeled the impact of the stimulus package.

Feel Sad?

Malaysia Q2 GDP seen down 5.1pc on year

Malaysia’s economic recovery looks set to lag that of its peers, with economists saying gross domestic product likely shrank by 5.1 per cent in the second quarter from a year ago, a Reuters poll showed.

In addition to a steep fall in exports, Malaysia has seen capital spending stagnating as well as an inventory destocking to the tune of US$15 billion in the first quarter, retarding a recovery, according to a recent report from BNP Paribas.

Malaysia posted its first drop in output in seven and a half years when first quarter GDP fell 6.2 per cent from a year ago, and the poll of 12 economists showed that Malaysia’s central bank would hold rates at 2 per cent until there was firm evidence of an economic recovery.

The central bank’s next policy meeting is on today, with the GDP data to be released on tomorrow.

Malaysia’s central bank and the government are expecting growth to return only in the fourth quarter, whereas in Indonesia growth has already picked up and is expected to return in Thailand when it reports second quarter data next week.

Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore also pulled out of recession in the second quarter, but the recovery is seen as fragile as long as consumer demand in Asia’s key Western markets remains weak.

“While central bankers are often prompted to ’take away the punch bowl just as the party gets going’, the degree of uncertainty and prolonged nature of the recovery could prompt Bank Negara Malaysia to leave the rate (steady) until end-2010,” said Standard Chartered Economist Alvin Liew said.

Economists say that a fiscal stimulus package of RM17 billion this year has yet to have a major impact and the economy has also sunk into deflation with consumer prices falling 2.4 per cent year-on-year in July.

The central bank has cut rates by a cumulative 150 basis points in its recent easing cycle in a bid to ease the domestic fallout from the global financial crisis.

Malaysia is Asia’s third-most trade dependent country. June exports fell by 22.6 per cent on an annual basis but rose 5.1 per cent increase from May on a seasonally unadjusted basis. - Reuters

Foreign Funds Sold Malaysia Stocks in July, CIMB Says
(Update1)2009-08-25 03:51:50.955 GMT
By Chan Tien Hin

Aug. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Overseas investors turned netsellers of Malaysian stocks in July for the first time in four months, as the Southeast Asian nation’s stock market continued to lag behind regional peers, CIMB Investment Bank Bhd. said.

Foreign funds unloaded $121 million of Malaysian shares in July, the equivalent of 56 percent of the previous three months’inflow, CIMB analyst Terence Wong said, citing EPFR Global, which collects data from more than 600 foreign funds.

The reversal of fund flows is an “unwelcome surprise for us” and the outflow was “relatively steep,” he said in the report.

“ All its regional peers enjoyed foreign fund inflows in July.”

The benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI Index has risen 34percent this year, trailing behind Southeast Asian benchmark indexes.

Neighboring Indonesia’s gauge has jumped 75 percent.Prime Minister Najib Razak, who took office on April 3, has announced stimulus plans valued at 67 billion ringgit ($19billion) to revive economic growth.

Najib on June 30 announced his biggest overhaul of the financial markets, scrapping the need for overseas companies and for publicly traded Malaysian businesses to reserve 30 percent of their equity for local ethnic Malay investors.

The key stock index fell 0.3 percent to 1,170.96 as of11:51 a.m. local time, the first drop in four days.

Foreign funds “lightened” their holdings in stocks suchas Genting Malaysia Bhd., Digi.Com Bhd. and PLUS Expressways Bhd., he said.

Funds added to weightings in banks including Public Bank Bhd., Malayan Banking Bhd. and RHB Capital Bhd., he said.

“Malaysia’s lower liquidity and velocity could be a symptom or cause, of foreign investors’ lack of interest in the market,” Wong said.

“The net selling could be a temporary hiccup that is consistent with past trends where it was relatively rare for foreign funds to be net buyers for more than three months running.”

Mohd Radzhi Salleh the latest frog in the making?

Again , PKR proves to be the weakest link in the Pakatan Rakyat when PKR Lunas state rep Mohd Radzhi Salleh quits PKR citing loss of confidence in the party's leadership.....

According to Malaysiakini, Mohd Razdzi Salleh is currently under the MACC investigation for the overclaim expenses allegation. Understand that PKR is supposedly to take discipline action against Mohd Radzi Salleh for his poor performance as ADUN.

http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/111192

N Gobakrishnan,MP for Pandang Serai says that he is not surprised with Mohd Radzi Salleh decision. Previously, he has received so many complaints from his constituency that Mohd Radzi Salleh has performed badly since elected as Lunas representative.

Sivarasa, meanwhile, cited " Money Inducement " as the prime sucpects ......

http://themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/35843-sivarasa-suspects-cash-inducement-in-pkr-lunas-walk-out

I am not surprised that if Mohd Radzhi Salleh will join UMNO soon.....

Will he become another frog?

http://animals.howstuffworks.com/amphibians/frog.htmjust wait and see.......

One not surprised that UMNO will quickly grab him as no other ethical & high discipline party will want to accept a people which has poor performance record in his constituency and the alleged overclaim expenses charges .....

Now a stupid pro Be End and UMPH No blogger such as Parpukari has labelled him as a Hero for fighting of Malay Rights........Really?

Go around and ask Lunas people especially Malay you will get the answers straight away.....

P/S it is time for Anwar to do some soul searching for his PKR members and evaluate their performance accordingly....we do not want PKR end up like UMNO

Malaysian Chinese!!!!!!!Now you are the target of Utusan Malaysia

ONE MALAYSIA

Malaysia political scene has gone into the new era that one has never seen for the past 52 years.....the new era none other than Be End has lost 5 states to the Pakatan Rakyat in the 308 tsunami. Since than, Umno has been aiming to get back the 5 states not by going thru democracy process but the "frog hopping " strategy. Under this dirty tricks they manage to take back Perak state temporarily.

Lately, they have been targeting Selangor state. Obviously, Umno is using "anti Chinese" strategy in oder to win back the Malay votes, a dirty and efficient trick that UMNO will always use when the party is in jeopardy. Firstly, thru Utusan Malaysia, they are targeting DAP, a party which Chinese form a major composition and also has important lineup in the Selangor exco .

Utusan Malaysia has labelled DAP as an Anti-Islam party which in fact has been strongly denied by DAP. In order to make their attack more convincing and reliable, they have used Dr. Ridhuan Tee a Chinese Muslim as their hatchet man to criticise DAP.

Not enough with that , Dr. Ridhuan Tee has dragged Chinese news paper and Malaysia Chinese in the political turmoil by calling them Kia Su and Kia Si.

In the weekend article, Utusan Malaysia in a title " Selepas Kuasai Ekonomy" or "after controlling economy" has explicitly said that Malaysia Chinese want to control Malaysia politics now after having major say in Malaysia economy.....

http://www.utusan.com.my/utusan/info.asp?y=2009&dt=0823&pub=Utusan_Malaysia&sec=Rencana&pg=re_02.htm

I strongly urge Umno's hatchman ..."think before you write"

Malaysian do not mind whether it is Malay, Indian,Kadazan or Chinese to rule this country.....

Daim Zainuddin, in the exclusive interview with China Press has spelt out the voices of Malaysian loud and clear

"People hope to see a fair and just government , no one wish to leave behind in the country development.... is there anything wrong if rationale people demand for the above?"

http://www.chinapress.com.my/topic/permatangpasir/default.asp?dt=2009-08-23&art=0823m98a60.txt

UMNO and Utusan Malaysia, please do not play up religious and racial issues anymore.....Malaysian Chinese never doubt Islam as national religious and never crossing in our mind to wrest political control from Malay......................

Please stop labelling Chinese as a rich race...Most of us are just a normal citizen who has been working damn hard to earn our daily hood, burning midnight oil almost everyday in order to earn a place to enter local university.......We want to stay peacefully in this country.....please stop labelling us Pendatang......

We are a law binding citizens which contributed 90% of the tax revenue in Malaysia and hence we have a right to urge BN especially UMNO and Utusan Malaysia to focus on :-

Malaysia competitiveness in terms of economy, education and health care...

Death tolls for H1N1 is still climbing high and is the second highest in Asia now after Thailand.......

Crime rate is still at all time high.......

Corruption is still rampantning...............

If UMNO and Utusan still do not listen to people , we can assure you that 308 is not an ending but a beginning.....

P/s To Awang Selamat and Utusan 's editor, if you do not understand Daim Zainuddin 's interview in China Press, please drop me an email and I will translate to you FOC.....

To Mohd Ridhuan Tee, you surely can understand Chinese....please show me any article appear in Chinese newspaper that has racist elements and did criticise Malay than I will shut my mouth and vote for UMNO in the next election. Otherwise please do not speak with your buttock!!!!!!

Lim Kit Siang why waste time on MACC and Muhyiddin?

I urge Lim Kit Siang not to waste time on Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission and Muhyiddin Yassin anymore as MA Sissy will not dare to probe into allegations that Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin abused his powers and used a military aircraft to attend an Umno party function.

http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/index.php/malaysia/35767-kit-siang-asks-macc-is-muhyiddin-above-the-law

Everyone knows that MA Sissy has never been impartial and independent in their investigations....

Have you seen them investigated Khir Toyo for his RM24 million palatial mansion? investigating Muhhammad Taib when he carried AUD1 million to Australia and later was acquitted for the stupid reasons that he did not understand English?

Mr.Lim , it is better for you to spend quality time with your family .........

I can only say" sepandai pandainya tupai melompat akhirnya jatuh ke tangga pula"

Rohaizat, what say you?

Permatang Pasir's voters, it is time to open your eye.....

Please ask yourself.................

if you still want a ADUN who betrayed his friend Yusri Isahak by "mek-mek" or "mengambinghitamkan" his friend just because he wants to be UMNO candidate no matter by hook or by crook ?

If you still want a ADUN who vehemently deny the claim although the bar council has stated clearly that " the finding of misconduct is personal to Rohaizat Othman, as the Disciplinary Board would not hold a lawyer liable for the actions of his/her law partner(s)." ?

If you still want a ADUN whose integrity and sincerity is in question now?

Has Rohaizat Othman misled Umno Leaders?

Malaysiainsider reported that Bar Council chairman Ragunath Kesavan confirmed that Rohaizat Othman (picture left) was guilty and bore personal liability under the Legal Profession Act.

It is understood that Rohaizat Othman, and not his partner, was named by a complainant over a sum of about RM161,000.

If you are an innocent party, you would not be found guilty by the (Bar Council’s) disciplinary board. Rohaizat’s appeal against the Bar Council decision was dismissed by the High Court on Aug 12,” Ragunath was quoted as saying by local newspapers.

Press clarification from the Malaysia Bar below has spelt it right and clear:-

http://www.malaysianbar.org.my/press_statements/press_release_clarification_regarding_rohaizat_othman.html

Before that ,Penang Umno liaison chief Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had confirmed that Rohaizat was struck off after his partner took off with a client’s money. He said the client lodged a report and as a partner, Rohaizat was implicated.

“Legally, Rohaizat did no wrong but, morally, this will be used against him by the other party in the by-election,” Zahid had said, adding that that was why when Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin announced Rohaizat’s name last Friday as the Barisan candidate for the by-election he did not refer to him as a lawyer.

Muhyiddin had alleged yesterday that Rohaizat was the target of “character assassination” and local newspapers reported that he “chided the Opposition for stirring up controversy” over Rohaizat’s credibility.

Utusan Malaysia and MACC ....Dumb and Dumber!!!!!!!!!!!

Two major news appear in the internet really strike my attention......

In the first, case reporter from Utusan Malaysia namely Mohd Nizam thought Ultra Vires means " to insult" . I do not have to explain more as the report from Malaysian Insider is precise....

The second case that shocks the nation is that no notes were made when the MACC investigators queried the late Tan Beng Hock for the RM2,400 spending.................

Read below for the two shocking reports that I can only say......MEMALUKAN

Utusan reporter says he thought ultra vires means ‘to insult’

By Asrul Hadi Abdullah Sani

Karpal Singh’s press release legalese confounded Utusan’s Mohd Nizam into thinking he had insulted the Sultan of Perak. — Picture by Choo Choy May

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 12 — Utusan Malaysia reporter Mohd Nizam Mohd Yatim told the High Court today that he thought the phrase “ultra vires” contained in a press release issued by Karpal Singh meant the DAP man was insulting the Perak Sultan.

Mohd Nizam, the prosecution’s first witness in Karpal’s sedition trial, was subjected to a rigorous cross-examination by defence counsel Jagdeep Singh Deo, and appeared rattled by the lawyer’s questions.

At one point the Utusan Malaysia reporter did not appear to even know what Karpal Singh was being charged with.

The reporter was also unable to show a clear understanding of the barrage of questions by Jagdeep on the four-page press statement distributed by Karpal during a press conference on Feb 6 this year.

Based on a report written by him and published by the newspaper, Mohd Nizam had been put on the witness stand by the prosecution to show that Karpal had committed sedition.

By questioning him over his understanding of what transpired during Karpal's press conference, the defence was attempting to prove he was an unreliable witness.

The DAP chairman and Bukit Gelugor MP was charged with sedition on March 17 for saying Datuk Seri Nizar Jamaluddin's removal as Perak mentri besar by Sultan Azlan Shah could be questioned in a court of law.

The veteran lawyer-politician was charged in the Sessions Court in KL before judge Mohamad Sekeri Mamat under Section 4(1)(b) of the Sedition Act 1948.

Karpal is further accused of several other seditious statements related to the entire Perak constitutional crisis which began two months ago.

He is accused of committing the crime during a press conference at his law firm here on February 6.

Mohd Nizam was questioned earlier by the deputy public prosecutor Azlina Rasdi.

Azlina had asked Mohd Nizam to tell the court who was at the press conference as well as where it was held, before requesting the reporter read the press release provided.

She also asked him to summarize the contents to the court.

Mohd Nizam: “If the Sultan still wants to pick Zambry as mentri besar then Pakatan Rakyat government has no choice but to take legal action.”

He added that after the press conference there was a question and answer session. He told the court that a reporter asked Karpal if he would be suing the sultan.

“Karpal said yes,” Nizam said in his testimony which was later challenged by the defence.

During cross-examination, Jagdeep had asked the 38-year-old reporter: “Do you agree that his (Karpal) view on the constitution is sought after?”

Mohd Nizam: “I am not sure.”

Jagdeep: “Do you agree that he (Karpal) is known as a smart laywer?”

Mohd Nizam: “I am not sure.”

Jagdeep: “If you still do not know after eight years working then you should start doing your work properly.”

Jagdeep then proceeded to ask him if he understood the press release since it was in English.

Mohd Nizam: “I only understand it in general and not thoroughly.”

Jagdeep then asked the reporter if he agreed that what was said in the press conference was only an opinion of the constitutional crisis in Perak.

“I only report and do not give opinion,” Mohd Nizam replied.

The answer appeared to irritate Jagdeep who accused Mohd Nizam of being insincere.

Jagdeep then told Mohd Nizam to read part of the press release to the court.

Mohd Nizam: “Although the orders have been confirmed by the Sultan. If the decision is ultra vires then the decision can be adjudicated by the court.”

Jagdeep then asked Nizam to explain what ultra vires means to the court.

Nizam looking confused and replied: “To insult.”

Jagdeep then told Mohd Nizam that his misunderstanding of the word had caused chaos in the country because the word actually means “beyond the powers”.

Mohd Nizam was then asked what questions were thrown at Karpal during the press conference.

Nizam explained that reporters wanted to clarify if Karpal meant that he was going to bring the Sultan to court.

“So do you agree that Karpal did not say that he will sue?” Jagdeep asked.

“Agree,” Nizam replied.

After the cross-examination, the defence team requested Judicial Commissioner Azman Abdullah for the witness’s cross-examination to be adjourned until it could question another witness on the transcript of the press conference.

Azman then asked the prosecution to call its next witness.

But the prosecution could not bring its next witness, an RTM reporter, because he had failed to show up and could not be contacted.

The trial was then adjourned to tomorrow afternoon.

(2) TEOH PROBE: No notes made by MACC investigating officer

2009/08/12

SHAH ALAM: The inquest into the death of Teoh Beng Hock was shocked by the statement of a police investigating officer that no notes were made by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer who questioned Teoh.

Inspector Mohd Zulaimi Zubir, 29, from the Shah Alam police district headquarters' crime branch said the non-existence of the notes was detected during investigation on 10 pages of the official daily notebook, belonging to MACC officer Mohd Anuar Ismail, which was seized on July 18.

The lawyer appointed by the Government to assist in the inquest, Tan Hock Chuan, confirmed that Mohd Anuar was responsible for questioning Teoh.

"My examination revealed that in the book under July 8, 2009 there was noted 'rumah/putrajaya/pejabat/tol RM'(house/putrajaya/pejabat/tol RM) only. For July 15 and 16, there were no notes made," he said.

Teoh, 30, political aide to Selangor executive councillor Ean Yong Hian Wah was found dead on July 16 on level five of Plaza Masalam here after giving a statement as a witness into alleged abuse of state government allocations at the Selangor MACC office located in the same building.

Asked by Tan that from July 1 till July 18, whether there was only one entry that he saw, Mohd Zulaimi said: "Yes".

Before this, Mohd Zulaimi said he only seized the daily day of Mohd Anuar and other daily books were seized by other police officers.

In the proceedings, the original book was not marked as an exibit as it was still being used and only a copy was tendered but it was certified by a MACC deputy director.

Mohd Zulaimi also said he seized the hard disk of the CCTV recoring at Plaza Masalam and was ordered to investigate the movements of Teoh, MACC officers and other individuals in the building.

Mohd Zulaimi, the 11th witness, said before the seizure, he had seen the movements on the CCTV recording and saw Teoh entering the lobby at the 4th floor at 6.08pm.

"The next day (of the incident), I was instructed to identify the time the deceased entered, of the movements of MACC officers and other individuals in the building from 00:00 hours July 15 till 7am the next day," he said.

He said the CCTV recording was later turned over to the the Forensics Department on July 18 for further investigation but there were several difficulties to detect movements due to technical problems.

Teoh's movements were only seen through a copy made using 'pen drive' but it could not be printed and Mohd Zulaimi said with the help of the security division at Plaza Masalam, 47 images of people going in and out on July 16 were detected.

He said the recording was seen on July 19 at the office of security office of Plaza Masalam and not at the office of the Forensics Department of Bukit Aman.

Earlier, Mohd Zulaimi said his investigation revealed that there was no CCTV camera in the area Teoh was found dead and most of the cameras were at the car park, the main entrance and the entrance road to the supermarket.

Relating his involvement in the case investigation, Mohd Zulaimi said he was at the scene at 2.20pm and the body had already been covered by a black plastic piece.

"I lifted up the plastic and saw the condition of the body and saw that it was that of a Chinese man lying on his right and there was dried blood around his mouth and nose.

"The body had been left there and not much later, I saw several officers believed to be from the MACC come down to the scene and I met them. They confirmed that the deceased was one of their witnesses," he said.

Mohd Zulaimi said at 3.10pm of the same day, he and several personnel had gone to the MACC office to get details of the deceased and he later instructed to check Teoh's record using his identity card number.

He said he found there was no criminal record.

The proceedings before coroner Azmil Muntapha Abas only rested at 1.35pm after the lawyers for Teoh's family and the Selangor government watched Teoh's movements in the CCTV recording. - Bernama

Muhyiddin you do not deserve to be DPM......

My advise to you.....
Please keep your BIG FAT MOUTH SHUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Muhyiddin warns of traitors to the Malay race

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 10 - Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today gave a warning to the Malays about the existence of certain individuals who were willing to sacrifice their own race for political expediency.

Muhyiddin, who is also Umno deputy president, said these people would stoop to any level in trying to achieve their political ambitions.

He said that in the 52 years Umno had been leading the nation, the party had never forsaken the interests of the Malays but in fact had always and would continue to champion them.

“It has become my responsibility to oppose these individuals, who are only after their own political interests, at all costs.

“I cannot imagine how our country will be if we (Barisan Nasional and Umno) are no longer in power after the next general election," he said when opening Perdasama's 11th annual general meeting here. Perdasama is an association for Malay businessmen.

Earlier, he had opened the 11th branch of the Hotel Regency International chain in Jalan Raja Alang here.

Muhyiddin added that what was also more worrying now was that there were some non-Malay quarters who were openly questioning Malay rights and privileges.

And what was even more disappointing, he said, was that there was a small number of Malays who were acting as “thorn in the flesh”.

He urged the Malays to be firmly united against these “traitors” as they were obstacles to the progress of the Malays. - Bernama

Oh No !!!!!! This what our PM and DPM concern!!!!!!

When the number of deaths from Influenza A (H1N1) virus rose to 26 nationwide on Sunday(our death toll is the highest anong the Asia country now), and there is a strong indication that it will spread like a wild fire and beyond our control,

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2009/8/9/nation/20090809134118&sec=nation

I am quite disheartened to learn that our beloved One Malaysia Prime Minister Najib has all his eyes to wrest back the Selangor State control while the DPM Muhyiddin Hussein also concern more on political issues and his target none other than Pakatan Rakyat government.......

There is no sign that these top two VIP work in concerted effort and work with relevant agencies to counter the spread of H1N1 let alone to come out with the contingency plan .......Up until now no contingency plan has been announced.

This is what we call a caring government?

Utusan Memang bacul......

There is no other words that I can think of to describe Utusan Malaysia except

"Utusan Memang bacul"

"Persecution syndrome"
2009-08-05 17:24
__________________________________________________

"Only people suffering from terminal "persecution syndrome" could have
possibly stretched their imagination to such wild extents."
__________________________________________________

The collective "persecution syndrome" of Utusan Malaysia is fast
picking up steam, escalating to a level of near insanity.

Big chaos will ensue if no treatment is being urgently sought on these
people!

This Malay daily is getting increasingly ill. For instance, it published in its Op-Ed column on Tuesday a provocative piece titled Melayu Jangan Jadi Bacul (Malays must not be cowards), in which the author expressed his exaggerated concern that the Chinese and Indians would get too powerful, resulting in the Malays having to relinquish all the key positions in the government as well as their privileges
and NEP.

What made me want to laugh out loud was this:

"Serangan dan penghinaan pembangkang dan aktivis politik Cina dan India terhadap Melayu semakin menjadi-jadi. Mereka sengaja menunjukkan keberanian dan tindakan kurang ajar. Cuma mereka belum berarak dan membuka butang seluar
seperti sewaktu Tragedi 13 Mei."

(The assaults and hatred of the opposition as well as Chinese and
Indian political activists towards the Malays have gained momentum.
They deliberately show off their bravery and acts of bad manners, only
that they do not take to the street and unzip their pants as they did
during the May 13 tragedy.)

Wow! Looks like the intensity of their illness has developed into an awful sex-and-violence illusion!

The author came to the conclusion:

"Anehnya ramai juga orang Melayu-Islam yang ikut benci kepada kuasa bangsa sendiri. Bangsa Melayu sudah menjadi bangsa yang tolol dan bacul."

(Weirdly enough many Malay-Muslims abhor the power of their own race.
The Malays have become a cowardly race.)

I'm afraid the author is out of his mind. As a matter of fact, only people suffering from terminal "persecution syndrome" could have possibly stretched their imagination to such wild extents.

In another article titled The Malays are not aware they're despised, the rally calling for the repeal of the ISA was interpreted as the Malays being manipulated by the Chinese and Indians to hit the street to oppose the ISA meant to protect the rights of the Malays!

Good Heavens! I never knew the Chinese and Indians could have such mystical power to send tens of thousands of Malays to the street.

I was equally amazed by the new-found functionality of the ISA: to protect a particular ethnic group in this country!

Sorry, I've been exhausted by my own laughters that I could not gather any more strength to rebut the Utusan absurdities.

That level of brain anomaly has rendered any need for arguments by sensible and rational people with them completely irrelevant!

That said, I'm curious how the government people would view the words of these chaps.

Perhaps Dr Koh Tsu Koon, the minister in charge of Unity and Performance Management, should study how much Utusan has contributed towards national unity.

And those in the PM's office must also make the additional effort to understand how much the newspaper has done for the noble "1Malaysia" vision.

Fortunately, the overwhelming majority of Malays, Chinese, Indians and other peoples who are absolutely normal in their thinking treat Utusan nothing more than just a laughing stock.

Datuk Hasaan Ali has personal agenda?

Selangor PAS chief under fire from own party

By Neville Spykerman

SHAH ALAM, Aug 6 — The decision by Datuk Hassan Ali to call for DAP’s Ronnie Liu to be stripped off his local government portfolio is not sitting well even within his own party.

Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad said yesterday that contrary to his claims the PAS commissioner had no business making such a call without consulting the party state liaison committee.

During a press conference on Tuesday Hassan said the decision to call for Liu's removal was made by the party's Dewan Harian, which met on Monday.

However, Khalid said such a policy must be endorsed by the liaison committee, which is the highest decision-making body in Selangor PAS.

“The Dewan Harian only comprises appointed office bearers who are in charge of the day-to-day running of the party in each state.”

Hassan had also lashed out at his executive council colleague for “interfering” in the duties of enforcement officers who had seized beer from a 7-Eleven outlet which was located near a surau in Section 8, Shah Alam.

A decision was made to return the beer the next day because local authorities have no powers to confiscate beer and this had been confirmed by Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) mayor Mazalan Md Noor who said the legality of the seizure was questionable.

Meanwhile, two other PAS leaders who did attend Monday’s Dewan Harian meeting said the issue of calling Liu to be stripped of his exco portfolio was never discussed.

MBSA PAS councillor Izham Hashim said they were upset with Liu for reprimanding the MBSA officers directly instead of following protocol and allowing the mayor to discipline his own officers.

“We wanted to issue a caution to Liu for his conduct which we feel is unbecoming but I cannot remember anything being said about removing the local government exco from his portfolio.”

Another PAS leader, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Khalid was glaringly left out of Monday’s meeting.

“This is odd because he is the Shah Alam MP and the area where the beer waa seized falls under his jurisdiction.”

He added that he was surprised when he learned that Hassan had made the call for Liu to be stripped of his local government portfolio during the press conference.

“The issue was never discussed and we never agreed to call for such a move.”

Meanwhile, the move by Hassan has also caused a bigger rift between him and his Pakatan Rakyat colleagues.

A visibly upset state leader asked why Hassan was using the state secretariat to hold press conferences to attack his own exco colleagues.

“If he was expressing his party stand, why was he using state facilities?” she said.

Pakatan condemns racist Utusan article, calls it seditious
By Debra Chong

PETALING JAYA, Aug 4 — Pakatan Rakyat (PR) leaders scoffed at an opinion piece published in Umno-owned Utusan Malaysia today accusing the multi-racial three-party opposition bloc of deliberately working to undermine the special rights and privileges of the Malays.

“I think it's an article which shows the severe desperation of Umno apologists,” PAS central committee member Dr Hatta Ramli told The Malaysian Insider in an immediate reaction to the scare-mongering piece written by Noor Azam.

“I don't think Malays will be influenced by such racist articles which are intended to split the unity of the Malaysian people,” he added.

The Kuala Krai MP noted that the public was well-aware of the duplicity of the Barisan Nasional (BN) leadership which had failed to create unity among the different ethnic and religious groups.

“The three main parties in BN are trying to create opportunities for their own leadership, not create a prosperous Malaysia for all Malaysians. That's why the people are angry at them,” he said.

He sighed when asked to comment on Noor Azam's declaration turning public institutions such as the courts, the police and the military into Malay institutions.

It seemed a familiar and frequently-asked question he had faced before.

“That's the whole problem. It's as if they are all Malay racial institutions when they are actually Malaysian institutions upheld by everyone,” Dr Hatta said.

He added that even if the institutions were presently staffed more by the Malays than Chinese or Indian, it is “all preferential; these people want to be there.”

“It is unwise and it is dangerous to classify the institutions as Malay. Any criticism to these institutions will then be taken as a challenge to the Malay position, which is a lop-sided view and may have been the wrong strategy used in the past to get bigger support,” he said.

Dr Hatta assured the Malay community that all their rights and privileges would be protected under PR leadership, a point which his fellow PR national lawmaker from the Chinese-dominated DAP highlighted, referring to the Utusan journalist's claims that the Malays had lost their special position in three states governed by PR after their landslide win in the March 8 general election last year.

DAP's Tony Pua claimed that Penang Malays had benefitted the most out of all the three main races after Lim Guan Eng's administration ran a programme to give families hit by hardcore poverty a monthly allowance.

“We're the first state to implement kafa allowances for religious teachers,” he said. Pua is also the Penang chief minister's investment officer based in the Klang Valley.

“This shows that it does not take a Malay government to benefit Malays,” he added.

The DAP publicity secretary objected to the Utusan commentary painting his party as an evil Chinese organisation puppeteering its Malay partners in order to reach its own political gains, including top government posts.

“If Pakatan comes to power, the chief posts may be given to non-Malays. But such posts are not the monopoly of any one race, not in our Constitution,” he said.

Pua added that the DAP was not “challenging” the special rights of the Malays, and especially not the royal institution.

In his view, the Attorney General should review the “racist and more important than that, seditious”article, which Pua feels really threatens the security of the country.

“In this case, there should be no selective prosecution,” he concluded.
