ISA used to protect Detainee.....ha ha ha

Malaysia has created another world record today when it has become the first country to use Internal Security Act (ISA) to protect a detainee whose safety was claimed to be threathened.

This was the explanation given by Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar’s that Tan Hoon Cheng was arrested under Section 73(1) of ISA because her safety was under threat.

Don't you think that Malaysia will become laughing stock for no reason?

I just wondering where is Malaysia heading to when more and more jokers surface and lead the country .............

Hi Arjun,

Please make the fact correct, it is the residents who submit the petition to Teresa Kok. Malaysia is a democratic country and anyone can file petition. Do you mean the person who accept the petition should be charged under ISA?

I think the report from Malaysiakini is good enough to expalin the situation and head of the mosque committee Abdul Rahman Nasir has explained it right.

Arjun, do you mean the 189 residents file the petition should be detained under ISA? I still think that Dato Wong has reported fairly......
